Happy IPA Day! What better way to celebrate than checking out some of the hoppy goodness at Asheville breweries?
Our round-up of IPA Day events in Asheville:
Wicked Weed Brewing Company will be releasing a wet hopped IPA, which was brewed the day they picked the hops from local hop farm OB Joyful Farms in South Asheville. “Essentail oils provide much of the character found in hops,” said head brewer of Wicked Weed Brewing, Luke Dickinson. “We brewed the beer the same day they were picked from the vine to ensure that none of the flavors were lost, something which would have happened if we let the hops sit around for a few days.”
Burial Beer Company will be doing an IPA Flight all day and releasing their Fresh Hop Black IPA, made with Riverbend Malt and fresh cascade, nugget and Chinook hops from OB Joyful Farms.
Green Man Brewing will have 3 IPA’s on tap and a special cask just for the occasion!
Hi-Wire Brewing will be serving a special dry hopped cask of their Hi-Pitch IPA.
Oysterhouse Brewing Company will have 5 different IPA’s on tap and a special cask.
The Lexington Avenue Brewery will focus on the food today with IPA incorporated lunch & dinner specials.
